The point of it all isn’t wasted on me. I get it. I try not to let my wool addiction take over. Try to stay out of the business trap. But… if you are going to keep the lights on, you are trapped when you open a business. So I just want to say thank you to those who come and take classes and buy my stuff. Thank you to those who could likely find wool, find clips, find whatever maybe a little less expensive elsewhere. Thank you for sharing some of your self to sit at my table and enjoy and connect with others. It is so much more than the business, the things inside the door. I’ve said it before-the connections, the sharing means so much to me.
In a guild meeting, the president asked the teachers in the group to stand, I hesitated to stand. Stand with those who are certified, who have more experience… I thought they would make fun of me for standing. (Did you see her, who does she think she is…that is Lucifer chirping into my ear, is it not?) I think of myself and what I do in offering classes and starting others on this rug hooking journey as a sharer. I just share what I know today, share my passion. But at the urging of someone that I did start on this journey, I stood. Because I shared and continue to be willing to share and support, she is a star. So in deference to those that I have “taught”, I stand.
and it really has nothing to do with wool.
